In 2013, commemorative plaques were presented to owners of centennial homes on May 19 at the Woman's Club. Besides houses built in 1913, there were several older homes whose owners received plaques. The afternoon also honored six outstanding preservation projects. Bay Area author and journalist Dave Weinstein started the afternoon with an illustrated talk: What's Modern About Bay Area Modern Architecture. The afternoon concluded with refreshments that included a centennial birthday cake!
