The following is from the Historic Buildings Inventory as revised in 1986:

Physical appearance:   Not included on Inventory sheet.

Significance:  On a formerly residential site, H. J. Hoffacker comissioned the construction of this builting principally for his Palo Alto Sport Shop. Space at 534 was also rented for office use, principally into the 1950s by the Palo Alto Realty Co.

Note: In 2017, the property is still owned by the Hoffacker family, but . . .

This house was built in 1927 and is a Category 3 on the Historic Buildings Inventory. The architect was Birge Clark and the builder was Wells P. Goodenough. The property measurement is not included.
