The following is from the Historic Buildings Inventory as revised in 1985:
The unusual gable vent and window forms and some classically derived ornament are here united in a low, horizontal composition of Mediterranean Revival image.
This is an unusual variation of a locally popular style. After it was completed, it was sold to William E. Williams (1930 - 1933), a Pacific Telephone district manager. From 1939 - 1950, William r. Sayre, a lumber company executive, was the owner, succeeded in 1953 by Elizabeth Hamilton and her husband David (deceased).
