The following is from the Historic Buildings Inventory as revised in 1984:

Physical appearance:   A standard–format Queen Anne cottage with porch and angled bay, enriched by unusual bracketing and over-scaled dormers.

Significance:  The structure is a fine variant of the type, occupied by the builder, A. W. Caulkins, until 1907 and by Mrs. A. Dimond from 1908–1922. From the mid-twenties onward, the several successive owners shared the space with one or more tenants.
